Good News From A Far Country

Statement of purpose

  1. The Lord Jesus Christ will be the focus. He will be lifted up. Along with the edification and equipping of the Saints. The radio ministry will never be used as a means to promote the pastor or the church. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
  2. The radio station will not be used as a vehicle to grow the church. (Motive) Luke 14:23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
  3. The radio station will be under the ministry of For His Glory Bible Baptist Church. Therefore subject to FHGBBC’s constitution. In other words, the tail will not wag the dog...
  4. The radio station will not be a method to solicit monies. (Motive) This will be a ministry of the church and will be supported by the church as an outreach. The Gospel is free and so, listening to Good News From A Far Country should be free from appeals.
  5. The King James Bible will be the final authority and the only book read or preached unless, for the sake of study and comparison to prove the inspiration, preservation and infallibility of the AV 1611. Ecclesiastes 8:4 Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?
  6. The radio ministry will never be used as a means to usurp or replace what God has ordained with regards to a local new testament church in scripture.  There is no such thing as a radio church or radio pastor for that matter in scripture. Jesus Christ did not die for the local radio ministry. He died for the Body of Christ, his Church. (We understand and are sympathetic to people without a church) Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Hebrews 10:25, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Acts 20:28, "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood."
